Craigellachie ist ein Dorf in der Speyside in den schottischen Highlands und zwar am Zusammenfluss von Spey und Fiddich etwa drei Kilometer nordöstlich von Charlestown of Aberlour. Die gleichnamige Brennerei wurde 1891 von der Craigellachie-Glenlivet Distillery Company erbaut. Der erste Whisky floss erst im Jahre 1898. Die Brennerei wurde mehrere Male verkauft, bis sie bei Bacardi Martini landete, in deren Eigentum sie sich auch heute noch befindet. Das Wasser bezieht die Brennerei vom Blue Hill (früher Little Conval Hill), das Malz von United Distillers-Maltings in Roseisle und Burghead. Die Brennerei verfügt über 1 Maischbottich (mash tun) aus Edelstahl und 8 Gärbottiche (wash backs). Destilliert wird in 2 Wash Stills und 2 Spirit Stills.
Zartes, angenehmes Aroma von süßlichem Getreide, aber auch fruchtiger Marmelade und Spuren von Menthol und Holz in der Nase – fruchtiger Eindruck auf der Zunge, Birne, Honig, Gewürze und Holz – im Finish lang, fruchtig & zart-würzig.
