Die Geschichte der Dailuaine Distillery beginnt mit ihrer Gründung durch Mr. William Mackenzie im Jahre 1852. Im einem grünen Tal, zwischen Ben Rinnes und River Spey gelegen, ist die Brennerei nicht weit von Charlestown of Aberlour entfernt. Das Wasser bezieht die Brennerei aus dem Balliemulich und dem Green Burn. In 3 Washstills und 3 Spiritstills wird ein feiner Malt-Whisky destilliert.
Goldfarben – filigraner süßlicher Duft in der Nase, geprägt von Birne, Honig mit einer Spur von Malz und Holz – ein Hauch von Süße auch am Gaumen, vielschichtige Aromen, geprägt von Nüssen und Getreide, Spuren von Würzen, Röstaromen und Torf – interessantes, feines und sanftes Finale mit Länge.
