Die Miltonduff Distillery wurde im Jahre 1824 von Andrew Peary und Robert Bain auf historischem Boden gegründet. Hier stand die Benediktiner Abtei Pluscarden Abbey deren Ruinen von der heutigen Brennerei allerdings einige hundert Meter entfernt stehen. Bereits im Mittelalter wurde dort gebraut und vielleicht auch gebrannt. Die Brennerei liegt in Miltonduff, südwestlich von Elgin und arbeitet mit 3 Washstills und 3 Spiritstills. Das Wasser kommt aus dem "The Black Burn".
Konzentriert goldfarben - sein Bukett ist vielschichtig, blumig mit Noten von Torf, Toffee, Honig und Vanille - sein mittelschwerer Körper entwickelt sich geschmeidig, dennoch fest und elegant am Gaumen, eine Spur von Öl und Malz - das Finale ist von Feinheit und Reife geprägt.
