Longmorn distillery was founded in 1894/95 near the town of Elgin, in the Speyside by a Mr. John Duff. Long before, there was a chapel and than, for more than 200 years a mill. The distillery was expanded up to 4 wash stills and 4 spirit stills in the 1970’s and the water comes from a natural spring (everlasting fizzy water). Longmorn belong to the Chivas & Glenlivet Group and is often one of the best Speyside-Malts, but there’re only small quantities available.
Intensive golden colour - complex, festive and lightly oily in the nose - powerful, smooth and well balanced on the palate with a fresh, clean and malty style - dry, malty and nuttily in the finish.
