The Linkwood Distillery is situated at the river Lossie, near Elgin. The distillery was founded in 1820 and was reconstructed and modernized, but its character is still traditional. Only the warehouses are really old. The production works with 3 wash stills and 3 spirit stills. The water comes from sources near Loch Millbuies.
Intensive golden in colour - notable floral bouquet, supplemented with toffee, vanilla and a note of smoke - the body develops slowly and comes to a medium structure, the whisky seems to be sweet on the palate, with aromas of oak, almond and other - the aftertaste is complex and interesting.
