Product information "Simon Brown Glen Elgin Malt Whisky 0,70l"
The Glen Elgin Distillery was founded in 1898 by James Carle and a former manager of Glenfarclas, William Simpson. Fhe whisky distillation began in May 1900 with commitment, but they had to stop the production only five months later. In February 1901, the distillery was sold at an auction to Glen Elgin Glenlivet Distillery Co. for four thousand pounds sterling, but the next few years should continue turbulently for Glen Elgin. The water for the distillery comes from Millbuie's Hole and they distill with three wash stills and three spirit stills.
Golden colour - with hints of honey and herbs in the nose, delicate fruits and a hint of malt - full-bodied on the tongue, ripe plums and other fruits, spices, malt and a hint of toffee - a pleasant harmonious finish.
