The story of Dailuaine Distillery begins with its foundation by Mr. William Mackenzie in 1852. Between Ben Rinnes and River Spey, in a green valley, the distillery is not far from Charlestown of Aberlour. The distillery refers the fresh water from Balliemulich and Green Burn. In 3 wash stills and 3 spirit stills a fine malt whisky is distilled.
Golden in colour – a sweet kick in the nose, dominated by pear, honey with a hint of malt and wood – a touch of sweetness on the palate, with flavours of nuts and grain, notes of spices, toast and peat – pleasant, almost gentle finish with length.
