Product information "Simon Brown Craigellachie Whisky 43% 0,70l"
Craigellachie is a village in the Speyside in the Scottish Highlands at the confluence of Spey and Fiddich, about 3 kilometres northeast of Charlestown of Aberlour. The distillery of the same name was built in 1891 by the Craigellachie-Glenlivet Distillery Company. The first whisky flowed only in 1898. The distillery was sold several times until it was bought by Bacardi Martini, in whose property it is still today. The water for the distillery comes from Blue Hill (formerly Little Conval Hill), the malt from United Distillers Maltings in Roseisle and Burghead. The distillery has 1 mash tun made of stainless steel and 8 wash backs, distilled in 2 wash stills and 2 spirit stills.
Delicate, pleasant flavour of sweetish grain, but also fruity jam and traces of menthol and wood in the nose - fruity impression on the tongue, pear, honey, spices and wood - in the finish long, fruity, delicate & spicy.
