Product information "Simon Brown Bunnahabhain Malt Whisky 0,70l"
The in 1881 founded Distillery Bunnahabhain is located in the north-east of Islay, exactly situated at the mouth of River Margadale at the Sound of Islay, three up to four miles north of Port Askaig. The distillery buildings are constructed around a courtyard. The whisky production started with two stills, from 1963 on with 2 wash stills and 2 spirit stills. In contrary of other Islay Malt Distilleries, at Bunnahabhain they distil a Single Malt Whisky without the typical „Islay Character“. The whisky seems to be relatively light, but it's body shows in detail a very interesting oily occurrence.
Golden appearance in a tumbler – it shows a remarkable fresh aroma of sea air and hints of flowers – the whisky is medium bodied with a strong structure, seems to be oily with notes of nut, malt and oak wood – long and manifold in the aftertaste.
