The whisky distillery of Blair Athol is situated in Pitlochry, Perthshire in the South Highlands. The distillery was founded in 1798 as Aldour Distillery. After a renovation in 1825 the distillery name was renamed to Blair Athol Distillery. Nowadays the distillery works with 2 wash stills und 2 spirit stills  and takes the water not far away from the river Allt Dour.
