Charlestown-of-Aberlour is situated in the heart of speyside and the distillery is named after it. The first documentary mention is dated back to 1826, but the distillery seems to be a lot older. The Aberlour distillery works with 2 wash stills and 2 spirit stills und takes the water from Ben Rinnes springs.
The 1991 Aberlour is brilliant golden in colour - shows aromas of malt, spices, mint and a lot more - powerful on the palate with an astonishing mild taste.
