Architecturally one of the most impressive distilleries in Scotland, the Tormore Distillery is located near Grantown-on-Spey in the beautiful Speyside region. The distillery was founded in 1958 by Long John Distillers and works with 4 wash stills and 4 spirit stills and draws its water from the Achvochkie Burn. The Tormore Distillery was planned by Sir Arthur Richardson, a former president of the Royal Academy of Arts.
Intensive golden in colour - aromatic fragrance, affected by delicate fruit, roasted almonds, a touch of spice, peat and toasty aromas - full-bodied, multilayered on the palate, marked by a slight smoky dryness - pleasant, multifaceted finish with length.
