Glenrothes distillery is domiciled in the town of Rothes, between Dufftown and Elgin, in the Speyside. The town of Rothes is on a burn ot Rothes that flows into the Spey. It has five distilleries tucked of its single main street, and Glenrothes is at the Spey end.
The 1994 is lightly golden in colour - it's gentle spicy, filigree in the nose with aromas of apricot, peach and hints of roast on the palate, too - medium body with a smooth and long aftertaste.
